Firstly, thank you for spending a few minutes of your time to read my blog... I won't go on too much about how things have been since we all lost our Arts and Entertainment industry to Covid but suffice to say, it hasn't been easy and of, course, it's not just me but everyone I know who works within this business.
I guess I thought that the phone would be ringing and emails would be pinging all summer but no, it's not been like that at all. I think from personal experience and knowledge from the fimmaking world, people haven't got the funds to get straight back out there and start filming even though Lockdown gave huge amounts of time to get creative and allowed our imaginations to run riot with how we could return with bigger and better ideas. Finally though work is coming back in and I'm excited to say that I'm already working on two film projects, a Short and a Feature, both which are allowing me to get really busy with SFX! This month I'll be going to Manchester to work with Collective Media Company filming White Wedding which is full-on in the horror/dark/comedy genre! https://www.instagram.com/collective_mc/ consists of Lloyd Eyre-Morgan, Neil Ely and Sam Retford who is currently filming with Coronation Street.
Straight after that I am working with SKYLARK VISION on Witch.... which I can't tell you much about yet but here's the movie poster! This week I'm working back in theatre again which I'm really excited about as it seems to be the theatre industry that has been affected mostly by Covid. I'm also currently in the process of building a studio in my garden where I can not only work but which I can use as a photographic studio which I also intend to hire out. It'll be a while before it's up and running but in the meantime I'm working on an interesting photoshoot with a young business woman starting up a company for cross gender makeup.
Of course last but not least....IT'S NEARLY HALLOWEEN! I'll be returning with a fantastic team of makeup artists for my fifth year at HLW London to prepare the 40 staff for their annual Halloween Ball and then we are straight into Panto Season with QDOS ENTERTAINMENT

So let's hope the last few months of 2021 continue to be as fun and enjoyable with a good workload as past years and that we can finally put Covid to bed!
