Rob Speranza, Producer from South Yorkshire Film Network contacted Kate through the Creative England database which Kate updates regularly giving access to her work availability for location filming across the UK.
The shoot took place on a Napoleonic fort out in the Thames Estuary off the Isle of Grain coast in Kent during freezing winter conditions and Kate, along with an experienced crew of 25, spent long hours filming in difficult conditions often not coming back across the causeway until midnight.
Kate’s role as Head of Makeup & Design and Lead Makeup Artist on the project involved working with NEDS star Conor McCaron and renowned Scottish actor Tom McGovern.
Kate was a blessing to this project. She produced very high quality results in a really challenging location and the end result was better than I could have hoped for. Her work has been an excellent addition to the film and I would love to have the opportunity to work with her again in the future.
